Boho Chic Girl’s Nursery Reveal

10/24/16

It’s not often you get to decorate your daughter’s nursery twice, but I totally did and I’m totally more in love with it now. My style has been evolving a lot this past year and I feel like I’ve finally figured out what I love and what feels like me. A lot of the elements stayed the same but I’ve updated it to have a more Boho Chic feel. If you want to take a walk down memory lane – you can check out Eloise’s first nursery.

Ok so I’m not going to do a lot of chatting because I have loads of pictures to share! I’ll  include links for everything at the bottom of the post 🙂

But how great does that light look?! I shared a little sneak peak in this post but it’s even better when you can see it in the whole space.

I was so excited when I found this gorgeous pink vintage rug on eBay. It’s one of a kind and adds the perfect feminine touch to the room. EBay is an awesome place to find vintage rugs at an affordable price and is always somewhere I check when I’m on the hunt. My friend Ashley has a great round up of where to buy affordable vintage rugs that includes some of her favorite shops on eBay.

Now if only it looked like this every day! I’d still like to get some new blinds on the windows and would eventually love hardwoods in here, but for now it’s pretty perfect 🙂

This is going to be the random question for the room. Any ideas on the carpet? haha my husband wants carpet in the bedrooms whereas I want wood but our kids are wild ones and he wants as much protection as possible and I like how her carpet looks! If you don’t know it since it was there from your FIL, do you have carpet recommendations? Thanks!

ah I wish I knew, but ya it was here already and I have no idea what it’s called or where he got it from. I’m totally with you on the wood, I hate carpet! I haven’t done much research on it, but I did just read a post on Chris Loves Julia about theirs and it’s not bad! Maybe this post will help! http://www.chrislovesjulia.com/2017/06/wall-wall-carpet-looks-year-later.html

Your daughter is very beautiful, I wish I will have a lovely girl like that soon. And the room you prepare for her is too perfect, I truly don’t know whether there is any style of arrangement and decoration more reasonable than it or not!!
I am impressive because of the moderate tender warm bass tones of color, not too brilliant and not too cold; the elephants in various postures are showed on many ornament details; a small cactus pot; the furniture made from rustic natural materials… I believe that living in this room, your little girl in the future will grow to a very simple, gentle, delicate lady but still has the personality and a certain independence!

It was about a year ago that we were getting ready to rip out this bathroom and start demo. The last bathroom in our home that needed updating and I had so much fun designing it! You probably wouldn’t know it was a kids bathroom but I’ve always been a huge believer in not having to sacrifice beauty when designing spaces for my kids. I love the challenge of keeping it in line with my aesthetic while still making it functional and fun for them. But I did put their toothbrushes away for this pic 🤪 happy hump day! #breinspired

I’ve watered them TWICE already since bringing them home which you know is a big deal for me 🤣 they may actually survive 🤞🏻still totally clueless on what color to paint our house but I think I found a solution for our vinyl windows! Will be sharing in stories today for anyone else with the same problem!

You guys know I love making a mood board/mock up before starting a project but these are on a whole different level 🙌🏻 they totally brought my vision to life and were so awesome to work with. I’m getting ready to start ordering some materials and can’t wait to turn these plans into reality 👊🏻 oh and check in to stories later today to find out if my FIL is on board with painting the house dark! 😬

The only lighting we have in here is overhead so we’ve lacked that cozy night time glow while watching tv, reading a book or just hanging. So not only are these pretty but they’re practical too - good lighting is a total game changer and I’m all about setting the right mood for a space. Totally worth hiring an electrician to make my sconce dreams come true! 😍

Dilly had her 6 month check up yesterday and even though her numbers aren’t where they “should” be she’s perfectly happy and healthy. And as a mama, that’s all I can ask for. I know she’s all good, even if I’m constantly doubting my supply. This was around the time I stopped nursing with Hawk & Eloise but it feels different this time. And she won’t take a bottle so there’s that too 🙈 So as long as I am still nursing I’m continuing to take my postnatal @ritual vitamins. They’re filled with 15 traceable nutrients to help support this postpartum stage which I love as a nursing mama. Plus they are easy to take and minty fresh! And I love their clean, vegan-friendly formula. They are a great reminder to take care of myself so I can take care of her 🤍 use code BREPURPOSED10 for 10% off your first 3 months! #ritualpartner
